Pilot Butte, a small Saskatchewan community just outside Regina, is receiving a federal investment to upgrade its wastewater treatment  and to improve storm water management systems. The provincial government is also chipping in some funds.

H2O Innovation Inc. has landed two new wastewater projects in the United States, bringing the Montreal-based company’s sales backlog to $58.9 million.

London, Niagara, York Region and Thunder Bay are among the communities to receive federal funding under the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund (CWWF) for projects ranging from water treatment, stormwater management and wastewater operations. The announcements were made on May 24.

An overwhelming majority of Canadians believe that businesses “should pay the full cost of delivering and treating the water they use,” according to the most recent results form the RBC Canadian Water Attitudes Survey.

Clearford Water Systems Inc. has substantially completed its long-term project debt financing, the company announced this week.
