Kontrol Energy Corp. has inked a letter of intent to acquire an as-yet-to-be identified engineering company, a move that would allow the Toronto based energy efficiency firm to expand its suite of offerings.

Referring to the company as the acquisition target, Toronto-based Kontrol says it provides detailed energy efficiency analysis, energy audits, management of facility system solutions, electrical and mechanical design and energy conservation studies. The identity of the company will remain undisclosed until a definitive share purchase agreement can be finalized.

"We look forward to completing this acquisition over the next 90 days and adding further growth to our revenue and earnings. This acquisition target provides a strategic fit to enhance our capacity to deliver turn-key energy efficiency solutions for our customers while providing a corresponding reduction in greenhouse gas emissions," said Paul Ghezzi, CEO at Kontrol.
