Smartcool Systems Inc. has added a new distributor in Ireland. Since the signing of the agreement in the fourth quarter of 2015, business has picked up with the company completing several pilot installations of its energy efficiency technology.
Most recently, Smartcool Ireland was invited to exhibit at "The Energy Event 16" in Dublin in the Energia Group booth, showcasing Smartcool's HVAC efficiency technology. Energia Group is part of the Viridian Group, providing electrical energy to customers in Ireland. There was significant interest in Smartcool products at the show from companies in the health, technology, manufacturing and telecommunications sectors. This has lead to requests for quotations with numerous public and private sector enterprises.
Smartcool Ireland has applied for Energy Efficiency Grants both in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
"We are very confident that pending preliminary monitoring and verification of the product's saving performance, that our application will be successful and we are very excited to initiate the roll out of the Smartcool product range to the Commercial/Industrial sector on the Island of Ireland over the remainder of 2016 and beyond,” said Mac Artain, business director at Smartcool Ireland Cormac.
Steven Martin, executive VP for the UK and EMEA at Smartcool, noted that interest at the recent energy show in Ireland suggests that more orders may be coming in the near future.
“Ireland has one of the highest electricity kWh costs in Europe. Should Smartcool Ireland be awarded efficiency grants, this would create significant additional incentive to deploy Smartcool's energy efficiency technologies in Ireland,” Martin said.
