A number of municipalities throughout the United States and mining sites in British Columbia and Quebec are getting new water treatment systems from H2O Innovation Inc. The value of the contracts to the Quebec City-based company is $12 million and puts the firm’s order backlog at $40.5 million as of July 1.

The water division at BluMetric Environmental Inc. has won two wastewater treatment contracts. One is for a new housing development in the Greater Toronto Area and the other for a multinational company is Carrollton, Kentucky. Combined the deals are worth about $2 million.

More than 130 organizations in seven countries are getting money from RBC as part of the big bank’s Blue Water Project to fund programs that help improve urban water quality, enhance stormwater management and protect and restore urban waterways.

FilterBoxx Water and Environmental Corp. has raised a considerable amount of money through a private equity agreement. The Calgary-based company secured $14.7 million from an investor headquartered in Switzerland as well as from existing investors XPV Capital Corp. and EnerTech Capital.

BluMetric Environmental Inc. has inked an agreement in excess of $2.5 million to provide monitoring and reporting for more than 1,000 groundwater monitoring wells in Sudbury, Shebandowan, and Port Colborne, all in Ontario, with Vale Canada Ltd.
