Canada and the United States need to step up efforts to clean up parts of Lake Erie, according to a report to be released Thursday by the International Joint Commission (IJC). The IJC is a body made up of representatives from Canada and the US to deal with water quality issues in the Great Lakes and along the entire Canada-US border.

The recent closing of a Series A financing round from Axine Water Technologies saw the Vancouver-based wastewater treatment technology company gain a new investor. California-based The Roda Group joined Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital and BDC Venture Capital in the $6.5-million financing.
