Energy efficiency (EE) can provide “important economy-wide benefits” over and above those achieved by consumers and industry participating in EE programs, according to a study done by the Acadia Center for Natural Resources Canada. Not only could the Canadian economy see a GDP boost of up to $48 billion annually, but as many as 304,000 per year more jobs could be created.
