Blue Green Canada, a new partnership between Environmental Defence and the United Steelworkers union, is bullish on Ontario’s proposed Green Energy Act and believe that, if adopted, the Act could position Ontario as an international leader in renewable energy.

The Ontario Energy Association is applauding the Ontario government for “bold public policy” that will lay the foundation for the province to become a leader in renewable energy generation, conservation and the emerging Green economy. Dalton McGuinty’s Liberal government introduced the Green Energy Act today that promises to remove barriers that have held up green energy projects, create thousands of new jobs and establish channels for conservation and energy efficiency.
