Eclipsall job fair shows Ontario has workforce to support burgeoning solar module manufacturing market

Les Lyster, president and CEO of solar module producer Eclipsall Energy Corp., was stunned by the turnout and the quality of applicants at a recent job fair the company held in Toronto. More than 500 people showed up over three days last week to apply for 100 positions, giving the company confidence that it won’t have any problems filling the vacancies.

Day4 reducing staff in Burnaby

Day4 Energy Inc. is realigning its workforce to better reflect the nature of its business with sales being driven in Europe and Burnaby BC operations focused on research and development. The company is cutting 30 jobs primarily at its Burnaby pilot production plant.

Another solar energy training school launches in Ontario

People interested in getting hands on technical training as well as sales will now be able to turn to Germany’s leader in this area. Centrosolar Group AG announced earlier this week that its Canadian subsidiary Centrosolar Canada will hold its first training session from February 7 to 10 in Toronto and Markham.
