UPDATE: Atlantic Wind and Solar inks deal to lease rooftops from Remington

Earlier this month, Atlantic Wind and Solar Inc. announced a deal that would see the company work with the Remington Group to deploy 250 kW rooftop solar systems on several commercial properties, but Canadian Green Tech has learned that there are many more deals like this that could be announced in the very near future.

Hydro-Quebec announces eight biomass renewable energy projects

More than 60 MW of renewable energy from biomass will come online in Quebec by December 2012 after the province’s utility Hydro-Quebec announced that it will buy energy from eight biomass projects.

Floating wind sensor performs “flawlessly” in offshore tests

OPA gives go ahead to 700 rooftop solar projects to feed electricity into the grid

Following through on a promise Ontario Power Authority president and CEO Colin Anderson made at the recent Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA) annual conference and trade show in Toronto, the OPA announced that 700 Ontario residences were awarded contracts to feed electricity into Ontario’s energy grid.
