Commitments by the aviation sector to achieve carbon neutral growth by 2020 and a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 compared to 2005 levels are going to be hard to meet, according to a technical brief from the International Renewable Energy Association (IRENA). Bio-jet is the answer, says the paper.
