It’s been said many times, by many people, that if Thomas Edison were alive today, he would fully understand today’s electricity system; it really hasn’t changed all that much in the last 100 years. But as John Gorman, president of the Canadian Solar Industries Association underscored during a recent speech at an event in Ottawa, the emerging solar prosumer trend is already shaking things up and could cause dramatic shifts in the electricity system in the not so distant future.
