Earlier this month, solar inverter company Tabuchi, the City of Oshawa ON and its electric utility Oshawa PUC announced a 30-home solar and energy storage demonstration. Expected to last between eight and 12 months, it will showcase the ability for homeowners to store and use solar power stored in batteries. But the trial will also demonstrate the ease of installation and how energy storage can help stabilize a grid which gets an increasing amount energy from intermittent solar.
