Hydro Ottawa buys small hydro projects implements energy efficiency program

It’s been a busy week for Ontario local distribution company Hydro Ottawa. The electric utility for the Nation’s Capital first announced a new energy conservation pilot that relies on gaming methodology from Opower and then it unveiled the purchase of 10 run-of-river hydroelectric projects in Ontario and New York from Fortis Inc.
